Part of what brings people back to Great Camp Sagamore year after year is the warmth to be found, if not in the weather, throughout camp in the company of others around dinner tables and fireplaces and in the charming individuality of our historic rooms. Now, for the first time, we’re excited to offer a way to bring some of that warmth home with you in the form of a Sagamore blanket!
These beautiful blankets, which made their debut at Great Camp Sagamore in the summer of 2014, are 100% wool and made in America by Faribault Woolen Mill Company, the “last true vertical woolen mill” in the country. Faribault has a rich history dating from its founding in 1865 to its resurrection three years ago, supplying blankets for westward bound pioneers and American troops through both world wars, and now enjoying a resurgence of popularity of which we are proud to be a part. The blankets available for purchase are identical to the ones found at camp, including a stamp of SAGAMORE screen printed across a black accent stripe. The medium weight wool is machine washable and dryer safe.
Each blanket comes with a copy of our latest PBS special Sagamore Lodge: America’s Great Camp. Immerse a loved one in the world of Sagamore with nights curled up at home with this lovely blanket and DVD. This package is offered at $249, including taxes and shipping and handling. All proceeds go to benefit the work of Great Camp Sagamore!
