Thanks, Pat!

This week out Outdoor Program Director Pat Burdick wraps up seven years of work with camp for our intergenerational camps, affectionately called Grands camps.  For those seven years she has been the capable, steady driving force behind one of our most popular and enduring programs. Pat’s background as a professor of biology at SUNY Potsdam added depth to our nature programs and her tireless work ethic made her an invaluable addition to the camp team. She is endlessly passionate about her work and the natural world.

Pat’s history with camp is much longer than her involvement with Grands – she and her sister Terri have been volunteers for over 20 years. Pat is an accomplished quilter and has worked on many of the lovely quilts throughout camp as well as contributing every year to our Sagamore quilt. The annual raffle for this quilt has raised significant funds for programs and preservation.

We look forward to having Pat back in camp for volunteer work weekends, but we’ll miss having her in camp throughout the summer! Best wishes, Pat, we look forward to seeing you in camp again soon.
